Office Life

June 2, 2014

So this week I learned that the folks in the office don't really sit around all day like I thought they did.
We work in the office from 10-5, and I'm supposed to finish my work in two days and work the rest of the week.

This week I spent a lot of time frustrated at the computer. My work includes:
Digitizing baptismal forms in system (used for temple work)
Hunting down the missing baptismal forms that the missionaries forget to send.
Digitizing all the key indicaters from the 140 missionaries in the mission.
Making and sending in Excell a report of all the key indicaters and baptisms for all the stake presidents and branch presidents. (this takes the most time!!!)
Hunting down records and correcting problems for anyone else who calls the mission office.
Sending letters to each of the Recent converts.
Making a weekly journal for all the missionaries to read
among other things that president asks me to do.

I wish I knew how to use excell better!!!
haha

But this week we still got some hours in and marked three baptismal dates! Unfortunately we only had one investigator in the chapel. But I was praying so hard that we would have someone to take to church, and we have taught everyday day, even when we only had 1 hour to work I would pray that we could teach at least one lesson, and we were always blessed!

My companion, Elder Silva is helping me a ton! He is the man. He's like the quartermaster of the mission, anything a house is missing or materials for prosyliting. He's great, from São Paulo, I knew him in Uberlandia when I was his district leader. A great missionary.

So our new house is the nicest house in the mission. It's close to the only Walmart and Sams Club in the Mission. I didn't think we had a walmart here! haha. here are some pictures that speak louder than words. It's also literally in the front of the biggest mall here. I think we'll eat at Habib's today!
